OK, make sure you disable or close TeaTimer before doing any of the fixes here. So close that now and try fixing those 3 entries in HijackThis again.

Can you give me a screenshot of that error in Ad-aware?

Spybot warns me now on every start up that there have been changes to the registry, which seems legit since I have made changes following all the instructions in this thread, but when the spybot dialog box pops up asking whether to allow the change, when I click on the "info" tab it says " Fehler bei Einfugen von Rich edit-zeile" I wasn't expecting that! This thing appears to have attacked both adaware and spybot. Any thoughts? Sorry to be a pain :/ I'm beginning to think that a clean wipe is going to be less painful than trying to get rid of this thing.

Download the below two files:

File1
File2

Unzip them to your system32 folder (I think...double check with the readme file to verify this). Restart and try running Ad-aware again.

Still have problems now? If not,

Your log is clean.

To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided.

Are there any problems now? If not, you should be set to go.
