I am having problems with slow startup, Video stutter, and audio stutter/distortion. I have scanned my computer for viruses, ran ad aware, ran spybot, used tds, used housecall, defragged my hard drive, and changed my PIO to DMA. I am not sure how to fix this. here is my log file. Please help.

Turn off System Restore.

Go to Control Panel, System.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Try this:

Open Notepad and copy and paste the text below from the quote box. Save the file as regfix.reg. Make sure to save it as file type *.* All Files. Save it to the desktop. When saved, double click the file and click yes when asked to import into the registry. This will remove the key. Is this long file actually found on your desktop, or another user account's desktop?

Is your mobo new? Did you install the correct drivers for your audio/video? I only ask because your log looks clean now. Did the audio and video work correctly before? Maybe you need the updated drivers. What video card do you have?

yes my motherboard is new but this was all working fine until recently. I did install the newest drivers, besides I don't think its that because it is also taking my computer a really long time to start up. My videocard is a Geforce fx 5500. Please or please help me. I am getting a little freaked out. I am a Tcomm student and I need this computer to do my editing.

This is a strange one. So you say your exact setup used to work fine, and one day just stopped working correctly? Sounds like a hardware/driver issue to me. Did you make any system changes right before this happened? Upgrade from Sp1 to Sp2 maybe? Change drivers? Update Bios? Anything else?
