When I turn my Dell Latitude Cpx on,it turns on for 5 seconds,then turns off again.What is happening?

Boot the PC and keep tapping F8 until you get options

Does last known good configuration or safe mode work

It may be a malware related issue. I recommend downloading Spybot.

Also, go to the malware removal forums and post a HJT log there.

I had one like that, it was loose or bad memory modules. Make sure they are in place or replace/swap them if you have more than one. The try to boot.
