Norton internet security 2005 at the mo, but i prefer to use Avast usually. Ad-aware to keep all the nasty spyware out. I dont use to much as they can start to conflict and it obviously affects system performance.

For me the question is not which antivirus, but far more how long does one wish to continue in this costly, seemingly endless cat and mouse game, so yes I have all the means that are on offer here but I always fall back on a quick reformat/reinstall, and at the same time I use a modem router while trying to keep my internet use to a unimportant spare machine. My goal then, seeing that they will bring out another windows os soon while herding us onto it by withdrawing services for this os(like they have done for window98 language packs) probably needing another antivirus to go with it, etc., etc., and seeing that I have a wife and children who will need their own machines, is simply to change to an oss the won't heed me like this so it will probably be linux, with all its faults I know but at least it will stop me falling between the two stowels of buying a copy of windows which the will withdraw support for, or becoming a criminal in my own home. The question then is not what antivirus I should have but why am I paying for an antivirus at all, surely if this was any other business I would be allowed to change my supplyer for the extra changes encured by their insercure system.

Once again, I write the above not meaning to offend anyone, nor detrack from everyones seemingly tireless effort toward removing malware from windows. I paticulary hope that the person starting this tread will forgive me for replying as honestly to his question as I have done.
