Hi There,

I just done a Security Test and The Results Of My Browser Security Is Very Disasterous. Just When I Thought I was Safe I Tested My Browser Security and The Results Are As Follows :

I have Sygate Firewall But It Dosnt allow you to change the settings it makes its own settings.

I just found out that theres something called statse.webtrendslive cookie on my machine and AdAware and Spybot couldnt remove it even in safe mode. I have posted a HijackThis Log and It Is Clean.

Please tell Me Any Reccomendations On How TO Fix This Issue.

hi thanks for your reply,

the cookie is statse.webtrendslive and i cant set my firewall to block and and AdAware and Spybot remove it then it comes back after a reboot.

Do you have any info on this cookie ?

Delete it from your temp folders.

No the only site i basically visited this time was geekstogo and it still happened again. It even sends info according to my firewall when im not connected. !

no, but i think its givin you the cookie. i scrolled thru the source code for the page and found......

try changin your homepage, then delete the cookie and see if that stops it. although i do believe the cookies totally harmless.

Are you using IE or Firefox or Opera or what?

If you're running FF, you can go to -> Tools -> Options -> Privacy tab -> Click on "Cookies" section -> Check this box.. "Allow sites to set cookies".. Then go to the pulldown menu.. Select "Ask me everytime". Then delete the current cookies.. Go to the net. You will see when the site wants to set "webtrendslive" - cookie, and you can deny it if you want.

Not sure how that goes with other browsers.

im supposin in opera that you can right click > view source, do that scroll al the way to the bottom and youll see this.
