Hi There,

I just done a Security Test and The Results Of My Browser Security Is Very Disasterous. Just When I Thought I was Safe I Tested My Browser Security and The Results Are As Follows : :)
___________________________________________________________________

Cookies check

Your computer may save special cookies on your hard drive that have the purpose of directing advertising or finding out your habits while web surfing.

If you already have a firewall or anti-spyware program adjust it to block cookies. You can also block cookies using your browser if it supports cookies blocking feature
Referrer check

While visiting web sites your browser reveals private information (called 'referrer') about previous sites you have visited.
Recommendation

We advise you to get personal firewall software. If you already have a firewall program adjust it to block the distribution of such information (referrer).
____________________________________________________________________

I have Sygate Firewall But It Dosnt allow you to change the settings it makes its own settings. :tazz:

I just found out that theres something called statse.webtrendslive cookie on my machine and AdAware and Spybot couldnt remove it even in safe mode. I have posted a HijackThis Log and It Is Clean. :)

Please tell Me Any Reccomendations On How TO Fix This Issue. :tazz:

Thanks Very Much For Your Time :tazz:

:)

A normal text based cookie is not a danger to your computer. (If a cookie is not stored as an executable, it cannot do something hostile.)

The general controversy is not what cookies can do to your computer, but what information they can store, and what they can pass on to servers, in other words, your privacy.

You can set IE to block cookies, but you may find browsing inconvenient as a result. You can use AT&T's "Privacy Bird" for detailed info as to each site's privacy policy.

no, but i think its givin you the cookie. i scrolled thru the source code for the page and found......

<a href="http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;20411398;11276339;d?http://www.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyonder/getContent.jspx?page=wd_music"><img src="http://blueyonder.co.uk/assets/images/left_nav/promo_images/promo_136x104.gif" alt="new improved music channel"

try changin your homepage, then delete the cookie and see if that stops it. although i do believe the cookies totally harmless. :tazz:

Are you using IE or Firefox or Opera or what?

If you're running FF, you can go to -> Tools -> Options -> Privacy tab -> Click on "Cookies" section -> Check this box.. "Allow sites to set cookies".. Then go to the pulldown menu.. Select "Ask me everytime". Then delete the current cookies.. Go to the net. You will see when the site wants to set "webtrendslive" - cookie, and you can deny it if you want. :tazz:

Not sure how that goes with other browsers.

im supposin in opera that you can right click > view source, do that scroll al the way to the bottom and youll see this.

:)

this is why you cant get rid of it.
