Ugh...I was actually successful installing a new harddrive - the problem now is I do not have a clean applications cd (the original from Gateway has unidentifable goo on it that refuses to come off). Because of this I cant reinstall Micro Word, the old Norton Anti virus from 2003 and a couple of other apps. The Norton app is the most important as I have been updating online since that time, and without the original version the company says I have to buy the 2005 edition - I want to avoid that since I'm paid thru March 06. Any help would be appreciated! :tazz:

Video Rental stores by me clean CD's for a nominal fee ($3.99/cd by me). I suggest you take your CD to a Video Rental Store by you and have them clean it.
