Please download VundoFix.exe at http://www.atribune....ds/VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files.
* After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key (or F5 in some machines) until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
* Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
* Please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):

C:\WINDOWS\msagent\intl\binmfc.dll

* Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
* When asked for a second path, enter -> C:\WINDOWS\msagent\intl\cfmnib.*
* The fix will run then HijackThis will open.
* In HijackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:

ok so I just did this and i had several problems

1. my computer would not let me start in safe mode. I would get to the boot menu, select safe mode, log on by typing the password and then the screen would go black. the popup asking me if to continue would dissapear and the screen would go black with the safe mode text showing in the 4 corners. Also, I tried running explorer.exe from the run option on cntrl alt del and it just shut down right after starting. Could this have something to do with me running professional?

2. I ran the programs straight from the windows task manager and after typing in the 2 paths, nothing happenned. THe program didn't freeze or anything, it just stayed the same, ready to receive another path. To try and bypass this, I started HJT on its own and cleaned those files by themselves and then restarted the computer by turning it off and turning it back on. Checking the files now, it seems that its still there.

Anyway, I hope that u guyz can still help me with this. It kinda concerns me that safe mode doesn't work.

I don't think this will work, but try running through the same fix I gave you in Normal Mode instead.

Delete this file if found -> C:\WINDOWS\msagent\intl\binmfc.dll

Also delete:
C:\Program Files\Hijackthis\backups\backup-20050919-170049-173.dll

Restart and post a new HijackThis log when you are done.

You may run sfc /scannow if you wish. No harm there If it finds a corrupted/missing file, it may ask for the Windows CD.

Very simple. Just go to Start->Run and type in sfc /scannow and hit OK. Notice the space between sfc and /scannow.
