Listen, so far what i've read from your post is correct... good that you check the bios first and the boot order is cd-rom first...

Do you have a floppy disk....Plse say yes...

if you do have one, get on another system somewhere else ( AND VIRUS FREE ) and goto bootdisk.com<<<<---------- AAAaahhhaa... download the bootable disk for Xp...onto a floppy disk... if you still have your installed file on your hard disk,
goto to that folder and type winnt....

conclusion....the bootable floppy will get you into operation system, with cd-rom support, once you there navigate to the folder with your installation files..then simply install the O/s or whatever task you're trying to fix...
