Now I see something new in your log. Let's try this fix for you.

Download Brute Force Uninstaller.
Unzip it to it’s own folder (c:\BFU)

RIGHT-CLICK HERE and choose "Save As" (in IE it's "Save Target As") in order to download EGDACCESS Remover. Save it in the folder you made earlier (c:\BFU)

Copy the part in bold below into notepad and save it as findEGDA.vbs
Set Filetype to "all files"

Doubleclick the file to run it. If you have a resident script blocker it may warn you about or stop the vbs script. Please allow it, it is harmless.
You will get a prompt looking like this
c:\windows\system32\random.exe -uninstall
Click OK to execute that command.
You will be prompted if you are sure you want to uninstall. Confirm.

After a little while you will get a prompt the application was removed.

Start the Brute Force Uninstaller by doubleclicking BFU.exe

In the scriptline to execute copy and paste c:\bfu\EGDACCESS.bfu
Press execute and let it do it’s job.

Wait for the complete script execution box to popup and press OK.
Press exit to terminate the BFU program.

I was following the steps but when I opened the findEGDA.vbs NO prompt appeared. A new file was created called 'runnow.txt' with this:

Let's try it again without that step in the middle.

Download Brute Force Uninstaller.

Please follow these steps:
  • Please make sure that you can View Hidden Files
    • Click Start -> My Computer
    • Select Tools -> Folder options
    • Select the View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled.
    • Also make sure that 'Display the contents of system folders' is checked.
    • For more info on how to show hidden files click here.


  • Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix Checked button.

  • Please reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:
    • Restart your computer
    • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
    • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
    • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
    • If you have trouble getting into Safe mode go here for more info.



  • Once in Safe mode, delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist):


    c:\windows\system\nzaoivsteq.exe
    c:\windows\system\EGDACCESS_1067.dll
Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode.


Please download the trial version of WebRoot SpySweeper
  • Click the Free Trial link under to "SpySweeper" to download the program.
  • Install it.
  • Once the program is installed, it will open.
  • It will prompt you to update to the latest definitions, click Yes.
  • Once the definitions are installed, click Sweep Now on the left side.
  • Click the Start button.
  • When it's done scanning, click the Next button.
  • Make sure everything has a check next to it, then click the Next button.
  • It will remove all of the items found.
  • Click Session Log in the upper right corner, copy everything in that window.
  • Click the Summary tab and click Finish.
  • Paste the contents of the session log you copied into your next reply.

Also post a new hijackthis log.

I couldn't install the SpySweeper Free Trial because we had already done and, I don't know how, or why, they already knew and it automatically said the trial had expired.

And I thought you might want to know that when I was looking for the nzaoivsteq.exe I found these too:

Should I delete these too?

Nope, there nave been no problems.
The virus alert stopped showing after setup.
Everything is going just fine.
