hi,im new here so first let me say sorry if im in the wrong place;im looking for some help helping my mom with her comp. she can turn it on and her desktop comes up but then if you try to move the mouse and/or use any of the keys on the keyboard nothing happens ,she has so far tryied running the startup cd nothing changed also we've hard turned off the comp. no change please help she misses her email 'n' stuff conserned child

Can you post the version of Windows
Check the plugs for the keyboard and the mouse, check the batteries if they use them
