Hello,

I am not sure what caused your error initially, there are a few things you can try for a fix. First option is to try and replace the file "msvcr71.dll" in the case it was corrupted some how, here is a link to download a fresh copy:
http://www.dll-files...s.shtml?msvcr71

Second, I highly recommend the free, open-source IM client called "Gaim", it allows you to connect to all of the major IM networks (Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, etc.) and is very stable and actively developed, here is the link to check out Gaim (I use it exclusively now):
http://gaim.sourceforge.net/

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Tom
