Hello,

I've tried going to Pandasoft and running activescan and each time I do, when the activescan is running and scanning my PC, it just pauses at "explorer.EXE". I mean, not just any pause, it stays there and doesn't seem to go any further.

I walked out of the room, came back an hour later and it was still there stuck on that file. I had to just stop it, I restarted the computer, went back to Pandasoft to try again, and the same thing happened.

So my question is, is the "explorer.exe" file THAT big that it will take a few hours to scan it all? Or is there a problem with my PC?

Thanks,

Jaime

Hi Jamie and welcome to Geekstogo :)

It possibly just might be that your computer does not agree with activescan. I have some users who just can't use it. Not sure why.

try one of these online scanners:

HouseCall
Kaspersky

Hey thanks Excal,

By the way, I just went to check and the scanner has already finally moved on and is now about 25% through scanning on my PC.

It took a long time, but it got through it.

Thanks again!
