Western Digital Hard Drives

Hi guys, just a quick question.

I am going to be changing to a larger hard drive. I am just wondering if they come formatted or if I need to do that.... If I install the drive and boot the computer will it just go to the DOS screen?

Hi,

You need to format the drive you can do this by using a windows XP disk or by going to western digitals website and downloading there program to format it.

There program is free

If this is a slave drive you can format it from within windows if you have XP.
