battlefield 1942 problem

when i open battlefield 1942 the game loiads up normally but the mouse just freezes it plays music and the video in the background but i cant move the mouse cursor. no buttons work either exept for alt+f4

logitech. i fixed it temporarily it was something to do with the profiles.the screen where the profile selection comes up it froze so i deleted the profiles from program files folder and it worked
