Game Freak, as you are an underclassmen I'm pretty sure you have access to the material needed to fix wininet.dll You may or may not know this yet but Smitrem checks/attempts and usually does fix it.

You can also try taking it off the xp cd or from dll cache.

Hello, Game Freak.

Go to Start > Run
Type "cmd" without the quotes. Press enter.
Type cd \WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386. Press enter.
Type copy wininet.dll c:\Windows\System32. Press enter.

If that doesn't work you can try using msconfig to expand the file to C:\windows\system32. You can also download wininet.dll from the web and use killbox or another app to swap them, or using smitrem as I mentioned earlier is also a course of action.

I love the new one! And I know it didn't work because after the command it says file specified was not found!

If it is stuffed with malware then please post a hijackthis log here. We can clean up that file along with everything else probably.

(Note to Mods, I'll go through check my post on this one to avoid getting in trouble.)
