I need to get a new motherboard. While Im at it I thought I would upgrade the CPU as well. Keeping hard drive, DVD, CD-RW, sound and graphics card, plus I have a new copy of Windows pro to install. Was looking at a AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Winchester, or 3000+ and an Asus a8v deluxe board. Would this be okay? What other suggestions does anyone have? Thanks, Craig.

You should get a venice core rather than a winnie, look at some board review see what suite you best they all have slightly different features and differences in performance in some areas see what is going to suit your needs best for the best price. GFX wise you may need to get a new card if you get a PCI-Ex board( a good thing to get there isnt any new cards for AGP, so pci-e increases uprgadability.)
