I was thinking of buying the maxtor 300gig internal hard drive, is it possible to make it into an external hard drive? If so how? Reason i ask is external hard drives are SOOO expensive for the little amount of memory available...

Easy to do. Personally, I would stay away from Maxtor. Get WD, Seagate or Samsung instead. Right now if I wanted to put another one together (already have 4) I could get a 200 G WD hd at Sam's club for $98.00. An enclosure for it would cost between $40 to $60. Search google for hard drive encloures. Lots to choose from.
