Core Media Player

Hi all, I'm running a Nvidia fx5200 and I have my PC connected to TV, when I use Core Media Player to run files all I get on the TV is a black screen but there is audio. But if I use Windows Media Player its fine. I have used Core Media to stream to TV before without problems. Any ideas? Thanks
