Strange registry problem

Whenever i start up my pc, i get an error opening some files such as need for speed or microsoft backgammon.
I have windows xp sp2 pentium 4

I tried to fix the problem using adaware se 1.05 and it finds and fixes the problem:

Vendor:Windows

Object Type:RegData
Size:6 Bytes
Location:exefile\shell\open\command "" (%1 %*)

Comment:Possible virus infection, executable file extension compromised

but everytime that i restart my pc i get it again and i have to use adaware each and every time... can someone please help?
