Totally a matter of personal preference there .. What I think is the best may be someone else's worst and vice versa..

Norton, NOD32, Panda, McAffee are some of the better commercial ones

AVG and Avast free are two of the best freeware versions..

Simply a matter of what is going to do the job for you !!

If I was running a large corporation and my job depended on it, NOD32 and Kaspersky typically score/rank the highest on tests, though none is ever perfect.

AVG and Avast are more than adequate for most users.....
