Good AfterNoon Everyone, I am having problems with my display. My monitor is stuck into 2 modes. One being 16 colors and the other being 2 colors. Normally I have 7 preset modes on here. It is very difficult to work and read web pages in 16 color. I have went to windriver.com and downloaded a driver but it did not seem to help me. Please don't tell me I need a new video card. This computer is costing me a small bundle. Should have went and got a new one..Please any help will be greatly appreciated. I have a standard pci graphics adapter(vga).

Once again thanks for your help

Hi Mitch

The reason you can't alter the display settings is because you don't have the correct video card driver installed. The 'standard pci graphics adapter' is the default Microsoft driver that is installed when the correct driver is not available in windows.

Do you know exactly what video card you actually have in the system? If not, can you tell me if its an integrated card or an add-on card?
