:) Hi Y'all -- long time no visit/post.

:) Usual Microsoft anomolies, where would we be without them.

Update for Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773)

Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1

Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool (KB892130)

The above 3 updates, though already downloaded - simply won't install, rendering the Windows Update site useless to me - I need to install these before I can download/install further updates.

Anyone seen this before, know any work arounds?

Your help as always greatly appreciated. :tazz:

Search for C:\WINDOWS\WindowsUpdate.log

Open it in notepad.

Delete all contents

Save as blank file

Revisit Windows Update

Now reopen C:\WINDOWS\WindowsUpdate.log and post contents
