If you want a computer to play Battlefield 2, Splinter Cell, HFS Underground1&2, Grand Theft Auto San Andress, other good games, surf the web and that is really fast, which processor will be better.

Depends if you want to be doing stuff at the same time or not.

Amd's are said to be better at games. This means if you only have one program open which would be a game only then amd's are better.

If you want to do multi-processes at the same time then pentium 4 / intel is what you need. Pentium 4 is better at multi-media applications, music etc.. Web browsing. Pentium 4 plays games great also.


If you want just games only then go amd. Amd's do poorly at multi-processes.

This changes though if you go for the dual core amd x2's
