Seriously...the info we'll need is pretty well spread out in the log and the summery doesn't always list what I want.

Hmmm...lookit all that stuff!
Right click My Computer and choose Properties...click the Hardware tab and then the Device Manager button.

Trying to get sound - apparently I have none.
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly."

Remember that Drivers and Utilities disk you told me about? Put it in the cd-rom drive, and tell me what comes up when it starts to run. Should be an installer. List the options here for me.

Do it to it. All of these...

Then reboot.
