silvermine...

What's left?

Machine's running good...
Updates installed...
Anti Virus running...
USB works...

That just leaves a bad sound card... :tazz:

Can you think of anything else that needs attention?

May I ask an unrelated question regarding my Dell laptop or should I start a new topic?

It involves the way my keyboard is typing. I will be typing and suddenly it will stop laying down letters - or more often - the letters will insert themselves in the middle of text already typed. Talk about frustrating!!! :tazz: Can't find any rhyme or reason as to which keys involved, etc.

BTW - I'm running AdAware and it is finding critical objects!!

The AdAware scan results don't surprise me...you were online for a bit without protection. It only takes a minute to get infected. The AdAware should get it.

As for the keyboard thing, not sure what to tell you. Had one of the malware folks ask me about that a while back and I searched for hours with no resolution. Try starting a new topic so everybody gets in on it...wierd problems like that tend to draw a crowd...give it an intriguing title to get attention (kind of like this thread)

As a matter of fact...it was loophole who asked!!!!!!

Maybe see if Dell Support (if you can call it that) has any ideas.

Could be that you caught the insert key when it starts that

Let me know if you want all the questions merged to one post and the answers merged to another :tazz:

That's what I'll do. I was putting it off for obvious reasons!!!
Goodnight for now. Will you leave this thread open for a short time in case I have more concerns?
