Scan has finished. After typing in the chkdsk I get this message:

The type of the file system is NIFS.
Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

Yes I am watching everything, and it is a long time since I was called Mr. Buckley. You said all your programs are gone. Can you have a look in C:\Programs Files to see if your programs are still there?
