I recently bought a laptop and within days it had been hijacked and i had a message on my desktop saying 'You have been visiting illegal [bleep] site and are being tracked etc etc......click here to remove all tracks' when i click the link it takes me to http://www.removetracks.info.

Ive tried allsorts to get rid of it but it just comes back.

Also, Norton AV deletes a virus called Backdoor.Hackdefender, and when i restart its there again. Not sure if it is related.

Anyway, heres the hijackthis log, please help!!!

Ok as it is a fairly new laptop so I decided it would be easier and quicker to just completely format it and re-install windows.

Any suggestions on how I can prevent this rubbish getting on it in the first place?

Many thanks
