I actually went through the process twice, because after i had initially rebooted mcafee prompted that it had found something (dday.dll). I'm also getting a mcafee warning that a file is being put into the hijackthis backup folder, which is somewhat disconcerting.

Regardless, here are the results after i ran the above process the second time.

Results of ActiveScan:
Incident Status Location

Adware:adware/cws No disinfected C:\Documents and Settings\selbig\Favorites\Insurance
Spyware:spyware/virtumonde No disinfected Windows Registry
Adware:Adware/Trymedia No disinfected C:\Documents and Settings\selbig\Desktop\games\ChuzzleSetup-dm.exe
Spyware:Spyware/Virtumonde No disinfected C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddayv.dll

ddayv.dll is the file which is the infection.

We are using two tools - Vundofix and Hijack This - to get rid of this infection. Hijack This creates backups of all its activities (like a good program) so that in case anything needs to be recovered, it can be !!!!!

McAfee can pop-up and object to whatever but we need to get rid of this file and the associated linkages in the registry to clean up your PC.

Delete the file Vundofix.exe which you downloaded earlier as well as the folder Vundofix which was created.

Please repeat the fix again. When you boot into the Safe Mode, please disable McAfee if it is running, before proceeding with the fix.

I think that did it. I dont see ddayv.dll anywhere in this log.
However, i kept getting an error on Killvundo.bat saying the software was missing a critical file and i should download the most recent vundo from:
www.atribune.org/downloads/vundofix.exe.
No such exe exists there, at least nothing came up in a site search. Is this a purposeful flaw in the vundo or something local?

Regardless, thanks for the fantastic cleaning tools and advice, you guys are the best. I'll do what i can to send people this way.

1) You wont find the file on atribune.org website because you dont have adequate rights on the website.

2) Your log shows that Vundo has been fixed.

Do you have any issues with your PC ???

Issues with my PC? Currently nothing other than the Winfix popup scourge (which seems to be gone). Why, do you see something i should be seeing?

your logs look clean to me. I just wanted to know if you have other issues with your PC.

So I guess everything is working fine now !!!
