It's all screwed up. A friend tried to clean my registry with some program (which I have uninstalled) and now I have gang of dll errors, my windows media player won't open, my Netscape 7.2 browser won't open. I'm not sure if i'm posting this in right forum, so excuse me if I put it in the wrong forum.

Thanks in advance.

Howdy:

With luck, you could try using System Restore and going back to a date just before your "friend" did all this!!

Unfortunately, that didn't work. Each time I tried, it said the restoration was unsuccessful.

Then, I would think re-installing WMP and Netscape should fix the Regostry problems by re-installing the necessary Registry items!!

ok, i got the windows media player to work but the netscape 7.2 still won't open and my screensaver won't show up. I can hear the sounds for it, but it shows nothing on the screen.

Yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled it repeatedly. I thought that would work too. I don't know what I happened.

I've done that as well. The browser will work right sometimes on flash sites and sometimes it won't.

Any site with flash on it. Sometimes it'll work. Sometimes it won't. And now when I try to delete my emails on hotmail, it won't let me.

Start backing up any personal pics, docs, etc.. When finished, do a complete re-install (fdisk, format and install)..
