Internet Explorer not opening pages

yes, i use internet explorer but lately its been a little [bleep]y.. it says it can not find certain pages ex. hotmail. but others it has no problem with. at the moment i'm useing firefox but i can't use the windows update with this and it won't allow me to open the page on IE. i tryed to unstall it and download it again, and all the help thats pinned on the fourms... it helped with a few pages but still the ones that won't work from the start are still not working. :tazz:
