Does it really matter what port it is in?
My Router has 5 Ethernet Ports so, would it matter if I put it in 2, 3, 4, 5?

Hey Tensaei, Welcome to G2G

It does not matter, as long as, the port does not say "WAN or UPLINK". That is the port you want to conenct your CABLE/DSL modem to.

Odd readon is that, when I plug it into 4 in runs faster than when I have it the 1st port.

Seriously, though, it would depend on the make/model of the router and any port configuration that may have been done on it.
