Hello.
My problems started when I starting getting pop-up ads to install a program called winfixer 2005. I clicked no when asked to install the program. This went on for a few days and after running 3 spyware programs and my Norton Antivirus it appears I have rid myself of this program.. At least I haven't got the pop-up ads the last 2 days to install winfixer 2005, though sometimes I am getting a few pop-ads themselves I am not sure if there from the site I am visting or not. The problem that started though when the winfixer pop-ups appeared still exists.. IE6 keeps shutting down on me and I get the error box about sending the report etc.. this happens mostly when trying to open multiple windows. I have firefox on my computer and I am getting used to it but I am in a comfort zone with IE 6 and would like to get this problem with IE6 solved if possible.. Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

Winfixer is one of the new malwares out there and is not easily removed by many anti-malware progams, so I think your PC may still be infected.
Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
