Several months ago, I followed the instructions to remove AntiVirusGold as posted by another user. It did apparently remove AVG, but since then every time my computer starts, it takes between 6 and 10 minutes for start up. Also, the internet explorer opens automatically (as it did before with AVG). Finally, sometimes iit will not shutdown by using the start button shut down and I have to perform a "hard" shutdown using the on/off button.

I run McAfee firewall and virus scan and used the Clean up program from your site as well as Adware SE.
