After removing a ZIP drive and reconnecting computer, got the message "Please check signal cable" on the monitor. What could I have done to cause this problem?

Was this an internal Zip drive? If so, make sure you didn't knock the video card loose. Also check the video cable at the back of the computer and the back of the monitor to see if it's secured tightly.
