Help required please

I have a Microsoft XP Professional VLK CD-Rom which I have installed on several machines.

However on trying to do a clean install on one machine yesterday I could not Boot from the CD-Rom

After I have selected option 2 from the cd which is boot from cd I receive this message

Error: Could not read from the drive

[Command:script] [Line:201.1] [File:cdshell.ini]

I have tried several times but always with the same result


Please advise in "laymans" terms what is happening and what I need to do to put things right

This may seem odd to you but it is really annoying me and I need to use this cd to reinstall

I have read the artical but dont think it is that, because I used the CD about a week or so ago on another machine

any other help would be appreciated
