I am trying to find out which programs are necessary to have checked in the system configuration to have the computer run properly. I know I've found this before but I can't locate it. I'm trying to weed out the programs that I don't need to start up.
Would appreciate any info you could give me.

Here's a very useful site for identifying programs that are running on startup.
