I want to get vista when it comes out for the security reasons but will my computer be able to run it fine. I have a 1.4 ghz pentium 4 with 256 mbs or ram and a 16 mb videocard just wondering if anyone knew the specs on it?

I know, it will suck for a lot of people who want Vista but who can't use it hardware wise.

256 for video and 2G RAM to run an OS? Is Microsoft getting into the component business and hurting for funds?

I'm just gonna get a new computer and keep this one running xp. I'm not too thrilled about vista. The new features aren't that great, and i've heard the new file system has some problems too.

I won't be getting in it. From what I've seen I can't see the justification in switching to Vista. If I switch to anything it'll be a non-MS OS.

Will my system run it? I'm going to buy a 1GB Stick for my Motherboard but will my CPU be able to handle the OS?
