I have a document that was originally created in WordPerfect and then later saved as an MS Word doc. Automatic page numbering is engaged, but it is showing up in the Word document like hyroglyphics (sp?). How do I cancel this automatic page numbering?

Thanks in advance.

Open Word, click tools, auto correct options, auto format as you type

Remove the ticks from anything you do not want

You may need to do this each time you open a document unless you have save my settings wizard in Microsoft Office Tools

But I don't see anything there about page numbering.
