Video Card Compatibility Question

I have a motherboard that supports only a 2x/4x AGP video card.

Does this mean that I can install a video card that says 1x/2x/4x/8x AGP ???

Thx for your help.

You should only really get a 4x AGP graphics card, but you CAN get a 8x graphics card but it will only run at 4x which could cause some problems since the card wasn't made necessarily for 4x. I have had instances where it worked fine and other times when it caused all sorts of trouble. Make sure you download the MOST RECENT driver for whatever video card you buy and DONT use the cd that comes with the video card since those drivers are months old.
