Hi...I'm having trouble with a persistent and annoying auto-dialer that keeps popping up on startup. I took the first steps you recommended when malware is suspected and have downloaded and updated all software required. I have also had an online scan at the Trend-micro site (Trend Housecall) and nothing was found. I suspect this dialer is caused by a legitimate program though I am at wit's end what it is exactly (I suspect it may be the StyleXP or Window Blinds download--I keep on uninstalling and deleting their folders using the RegSeeker and CCleaner programs but they keep coming back on reboot;why is this?). I even deleted the RAS folder in system32 believing mistakenly that it was the script used by the possible malware..Oops.
