It might be a dumb question but I was wondering.. is it possible to upgrade my Windows ME to XP without losing any of my old files?

Or is it better to just get a new computer? (Though I don't have any money for that)

Thanks in advance.

As long as the PC is up for XP, you can save the files you need to disc, clear the drive then use an OEM XP CD to do a clean install

Most " upgrade " installs are not worth it as they can carry over errors from the existing configuration to the new one
