Everytime I do the scan and save my stupid winzip program pops up and I have NO CLUE how to save it somewhere else. I know your not supposed to use winzip and it's driving me nuts trying to figure out probably this one simple task to be able to start in on fixing my other problems. :tazz: ANY help would be really appreciated!

Move HijackThis to your desktop (if its not already there) and copy the following into notepad

@echo off
cd %userprofile%\desktop
Start /min Hijackthis.exe /autolog

save it as "hjt.bat" with the quotes! and save it somewhere you will remember. Now double click this file and a DOS window should pop up and disappear. Then you will be presented with your HIjackThis Log. Paste it here :tazz:

is HijackThis currently in a zipped folder??
if so, right click the zip file and select "extract here..." then run HijackThis

no it's not in a zip folder. Hijackthis scans fine but it's when I go to save the logfile that I can't get it to save. It automatically wants to save it in a zip format and then it pops up saying this doesn't appear to be a valid archive.
