Hi
Sometimes my connection will disconnect at random times. I'm on bt broadband.

Like does it go off every 5 mins, does it go off when u visit certain sites if your not doing too much activity does it say on?

if you go to the properties of your dial up connection it will have a disconnect if idle
uncheck this. you can also access this through the tools of your web browser

It disconnects randomnly, no set pattern to it. For example when I played WoW it disconnected or sometimes it happens when i'm just browsing.

On my connection properties page it says Idle time before hanging up: never

It's al so just started in the last few days. I haven't installed any new software in that time. I've also run a virus and spyware check and it came up with nothing.

Sometimes it doesn't disconnect, but no pages will load and the weird thing is I can't open my network connections or click the networking tab on task manager when this happens.

Maybe it has something to do with your modem?

It's still randomnly disconnecting. There is a power and a link light on my modem. The power one stays on but the link light goes off, then either blinks and reconnects again or stays off and I have to restart. Also this time when it disconnected I lost all my bookmarks >:tazz:

internal or external modem
