I have a Dell Dimension 3000 and every time the system is turned on the CD-Rom drive will eject. It will continue to happen throughout the duration of usage of the system. The only way to prevent it from ejecting on its own is to leave a CD in the drive.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Well if there is a CD in the drive it stays in there, doesn't eject. But keep in mind it ejects also during POST, when the computer is first turned on even before it gets to the loading windows screen.
