apologies for any confusion then, but normally at the 'motherboard'>'ribbon cable' part, the ribbon cable can be detached from the motherboard revealing a header.

As far as the usb is concerned, like i said in my last post, it all depends on the USB header from the Dell case. Can you describe it for me?

The Ribbon Cable can be dettached from my motherboard, but it reveals a cradle with pins that are too small for the front panel plugs.

The header connects the ribbon from the motherboard to two USB ports, a headphone jack, and has aport for a cable to run from the sound card(For the headphone jack) and two other unknown ports labeled "Intruder" and "Ext. Speaker." Both of which, were not used when i was using my DELL case. I understand all four components to the USB port. Theoretically I could desolder the two USB ports from the header and then solder the USB connections to it.

I misused the word "Header" since I seriously, know jack **** about computer hardware; thus these terms just fly over my head. *Clueless*

No worries!

If you are confident that you know what you are doing re. the USB ports, then go for it. My only concern is that because USB ports are powered (5V) and you are dealing with a proprietry system (although in theory the usb wiring spec should be standard), if you were to connect it up wrongly, or even just badly, you run the risk of damaging the motherboard.

I'll leave that decision up to you but personally I wouldn't both with hacking the front USB ports about. There are plenty of safer ways of providing additional usb ports if needed.
