Some kind of Windows XP problem

I don't know what to make of this. I went to a site the other day to look up some info for my girlfriend. A popup window came up at the bottom in the taskbar section without really popping up. I had a popup blocker on but occasionly they still get by. I was able to close it and the 1st thing i thought oh crap i think i have another virus because i got a nasty java virus the same way with a popup like that. So I open IE to check some stuff and it shows up in the taskbar as it being open but i can't see it. I right click on it and hit Maximize and then I can see it. So then I try the samething with my Away Message on AIM with the same result with that window. I restarted my computer and everything went fine and is back to normal in some resepct. The problem now is if i go to the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAM part of the Control Panel I can only see it as a Maximized version of it not the smaller box it usually 1st pops up as and the same thing for WINDOWS TASK MANAGER (it can only been seen if it take up the whole screen and not just a little box it usually starts off as). IE and AIM work fine and My Computer and other folders work fine by maximize and restoring back to normal size.

I have Windows XP Service Pack 2 (with all current updates I am away of). I have AVG Anit-virus (which didn't find anything) Ad-aware did not find anything either of major importance. An ATI Radeon 9600 Series (with current drivers) 1GIG DDR Ram. AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Processor and Soltek Motherboard.

i dont know if you need any other information but let me know if you do.

i was just wondering if there was a way to fix this problem??

i don't if this was needed but I thought i would add the HijackThis Log to see if it helps (Not sure if it the complete log, and if its not could you steer me in the right direction to make it complete)
