History - Recently cleaned up system from some viruses and spy ware that was preventing connections to the various sites to get updates to my free spy ware/virus software (ad aware, spybot, spydoctor, Microsoft Beta, AVG, etc). That has been corrected.
Recently - I believe there is a Trojan or 2 or 3 still residing on my machine. I get the Trojan notices from AVG every time I run a SPYBOT check. I have read through a number of previous posts in hopes of familiarizing my self with Hijack this and other issues. Below you will find the HJT log. I am not sure what can or can not be deleted. I would appreciate a look-see at my log.
Q1: I also get bongs or dings when Windows starts up. I believe this occurs when a program is trying to start that no longer exists. Is there a way to identify what is trying to start so this can be corrected? There is a symantic reference in the log but I no longer use Norton antivirus and have removed it from my system in favor of AVG. Would this cause one of those bongs?
I followed the outlined procedures of steps to complete before sending a HJT log. The only problem I encountered was running the ewido security suite scanner. The scanner would run I would see about 5 infections being detected and the the alarm would flash and the program would shut down. It would not continue scanning. How can I fix?
