Hi Terence,

You got the bad feeling ?? I was researching your issue a lot. Seems that you have the latest version of the l2m infection and it is proving to be quite a handful.


There are two tools that I have come across that I would like to try on this.

Please download WebRoot SpySweeper from here:

(It's a 2 week trial)

Click the "Free Trial" link on the right - next to "SpySweeper for Home Computers".
On the next page, click the "Free Trial" button.
Download it and install it.
When you open the program, it will prompt you to update to the latest definitions.
Please do so, then click "Sweep Now"
Then click the "Start" button.
When it's done scanning, click the "Next" button.
Remove everything it finds, then save the log - copy the log and paste it here for me.

Also post a fresh HJT log please.

Your log looks fine.


BTW, what did you use msconfig for ??? Did you disable any programs / services / drivers from loading at startup ??? If yes, then

click on Start----> Run. Type in msconfig and hit enter. Under the tab General, click on - "Normal Startup - load up all services and device drivers". Reboot the PC and post a fresh HJT log plese.

Can you post l2mfix Option #1 log also please ???


Also how is your PC behaving now ????
