MAXTOR EXTERNAL HD

Hey guys...

I hooked up a 200 gig external hard drive and it was working fine for a few weeks.
Now it suddenly does not seem to recognize it.

The device manager says it is working properly but the software that came with it does not "see" it.

It shows up under My Computer but says size Zero and asks me to insert disk when I click on it....

HELP

If this is a Maxtor off the shelf external hd, I would suggest going to their web page for possible assistance. I hope it is under warranty. If it is, maybe you can get them to replace it instead of doing something yourself which may "void" their warranty.
