Firstly, no new hardware or programs.

Yesterday I got a random blue screen, cant remember the code. After that I couldnt get windows to start in any mode, it just continuously restarted. I followed the 'repairing windows' instructions and all seemed good, if very slow. I ran chkdisk and all antiviral etc software. I just tried to connect to windows update to get SP2 back, and got blue screen:
kernel_data_inpage_error

stop: 0x000000007a (0xc0dde50, 0xc000000000e, 0xf7794558, 0x1d62f860)

atapi.sys - address F7794558 f7788000

I've looked at the blue screen codes list, but cant see how that fits. I now seem to be getting blue screens at any point, whether the computer is doing stuff or not, I cant keep it turned on for more than 5mins.

I havent made any changes since I repaired windows, and i'm pretty sure its bug free, so i dont know what else to do.
Any suggestions/ideas very very welcome. (This is a different computer)
